Originally started in 2017...

"Midlife Crisis" is negative lee nyce's seventh independent project in the Verbal Anime catalog & the only album that has survived two seperate computer crashes in late 2017 & mid-2018.

After performing lost songs in 2019...

"Midlife Crisis" was re-recorded in two different sessions in 2020. The first with 8 tracks being done with DATA GANG/1615's egoDEF: however, due to COVID-19 the process was halted midway. As restrictions lifted, the second session would find the last half being done with killwolf Studios' Daniel Blaine & Turd Curry - finishing up what would become the "Midlife Crisis" full length.

To credit this drawn out process, "Midlife Crisis" is the only release in the Verbal Anime catalog that was arranged not only as a complete project, but also into two selections - the first as a Summer EP entitled 'Summer Stare' & the second a Fall EP entitled 'Autumn Thoughts'. And (depending on your mood) this is the only album that can be played front to back [Fall -to- Summer] or back to front [Summer -to- Fall] however the listener chooses to approach their day...
